yukelele

So two nights in a row we went to the local fair. Lil one was obsessed with the impossible golf ball bowling game where you had to roll 6 balls into each of six slots out of eight to win a guitar or yukelele. He amazingly did 5 out of 6 but ultimately didn't win. He was so upset and wanted the guitar so bad. I was so impressed with him but also sad with him but he had to understand that we win some and lose some. But I did order a yukelele online, he is going to look so cute strumming it.

Are you good?

So all of a sudden my lil one has been asking me this question, 'Are you good?' and I'm like yeah. I dunno where he got this from but his dad insists that he says it all the time. Then all of a sudden lately my lil one asks 'Me and you good mommy?' and I'm like yeah me and you are good.

happiness in tiny increments

I'm just starting to realize that happiness is not a goal but a process. And happiness is sprouted from within oneself, not found in anyone else.

When I completed my 2 mile run within less than the 30 mins I allotted, it gave me pure happiness. It gave me pure happiness to groove to the songs I enjoy right now in the moment. I felt true joy and happiness when my son giggled when I played puppets with him. That aromatic cup of coffee at work gave me some happiness.

green means go and red means stop

So little guy freaked out when we turned right on red. 'No you can't go, it's red!' Has yet to learn there are exceptions to the rule.

hiro nakamura

So whenever my hubby wants the little one to go do something in the midst of watching TV, he tells my son that he is going to do the Hiro Nakamura, like the guy on Heroes who stops time, i.e pauses the TV. Now my son asks if we are going to nakamura whenever we stop to do something else.
