We watched a monkey drama unfold at the zoo with the dominant monkey shaking the cages every couple of minutes to reinforce his "status", a baby monkey running away from his momma, and a couple of monkeys flirting with each other.
The tigers and the leopards didn't want to show us their faces. My husband yelped at me to look at the owl, and of course it had a mouse in its mouth - yuck! There was a 40 ft python in a clear glass enclosure and it looked like it could eat one of us easily.
We fed food to the koi goldfish and enjoyed a dinner buffet outside.

Pooped a heart
My hubby was changing uchi's diaper and hollered at me to come and look at his poop. I rolled my eyes, but hubby said you gotta see this. It was a heart-shaped poop!
"He poops hearts!" my hubby exclaimed.
The next day he asked uchi if he pooped any hearts for him again.

A Day of Many Firsts
Yesterday was a day of many firsts:
Uchi had his first swimming lesson and enjoyed playing the water with bouncy balls, rubber duckies, and foam tubes.
He had his first haircut and to my surprise did not cry one bit but actually was humming a tune which getting his hair done. Also he had his first lollipop (dum-dum cherry) and it helped distract him too.
We got rid of the "tail" or the mullet-esque part of the back of his head. I miss it but it does look much better esp. since it is so warm out now in the middle of the summer.
We also went to the petting zoo again and he touched a black baby goat who came running to him and wanted to play. Llamas were so cute with long eyelashes.
